Niels Gammelgaard and Lars Mathiesen are the two founders of Pelikan Design. The partners started the company back in 1978. That very same year they won 1st prize in the Danish Furniture Industry's design Competition. Over the past 20 years they have designed over 100 products and put almost every kind of product imaginable into production, from small pencils to the design of an entire train interior.
